One Day Throwing Courses
One day courses are a great introduction to throwing on the potter's wheel. This is an intensive course that teaches you the basics of throwing cylinders and bowls. Your pieces will be trimmed, glazed, and fired for you.
Beginners One Day Course Outline
This course focuses on the basics of throwing cylinders and bowls. You will learn to centre, pull up walls, and shape a piece on the wheel.
You will learn how to:

Centre the clay on the wheel

Pull the sides up

Make cylinders

Make bowls
We will fire your best 5 pots and dip them in a colour of your choice.
Timetable for day, teacher to adjust as necessary:
10:00 – 1:00 Wheel Throwing (cylinders)
1:00 – 2:00 Lunch Break
2:00 – 4:00 Wheel Throwing (bowls)
4:00 – 4:30 Finishing and cleaning
Cancellation Policy
A full refund can only be given within 14 days from the initial date of booking.
You can reschedule your class provided we are given at least 14 days notice before the class
